member who acts as the liaison between the labor work force,
organized labor and the United Way office and agencies. This
individual is very involved with community projects and workplace
campaigns involving unions. |

Size |
a classification
of United Way communities that ranks them according to the amount
they have raised. The United Way of the Wabash Valley is a Metro
3, which is $ 2,000,000 to $ 3,999,999. |

Program |
enrolling new
employees at the time of hiring for a contribution to United
Way through payroll deduction. This program not only is a source
for new dollars but also helps recapture campaign losses caused
by employee turnover. |

made to the United Way for a single campaign as a result of
special circumstances. In most cases, the gift is made in addition
to normal annual contribution. Typically involves special fund-raising

demonstrate the effectiveness of campaign techniques and materials.
