We want to welcome you to United Way of the Wabash Valley's official web site, and we want to invite you to visit often. We will periodically change the site in an effort to keep you updated on what is happening at your United Way.

The United Way of the Wabash Valley services Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo Counties in Indiana and Clark County in Illinois.  Our office is centrally located in Terre Haute, IN.

We welcome your questions and suggestions. You can find links to members of the staff, services offered, member agencies, and other organizations right here on our site.

The mission of the United Way of the Wabash Valley is to help increase the capacity of people in our community to care for one another.  We believe that what matters is people, results and community.

Nonprofits in the Wabash Valley share the same challenges that face charitable organizations around the country. The significant gap between needs and resources looms just as large, maybe even larger for those living in West Central Indiana and East Central Illinois. Childhood poverty in Vigo County is again number one in the state* and the median income lags far behind the rest of the state**. The Wabash Valley must look for creative ways to fund the needs of the local community. One of the most successful initiatives to address nonprofit funding needs has come from United Way of the Wabash Valley. United Way continues to leverage partnerships among its member agencies in cooperation with churches, businesses, education, and government. In this manner United Way has played a significant role in creating and supporting community-wide initiatives in the Wabash Valley.

EXPERIENCE ABBONDANZA! Abbondanza is Italian for "abundant," and that describes the evening we've put together for you. Abundant food and drink, abundant live entertainment and a chance to enjoy the company of an abundant crowd! Click on "Special Events" for complete details.
