A central point of referral for those who are seeking community assistance. This agency has a winterization program which targets those who are in need of heat during the winter months. Targets those who fall in the gap of qualifying through other area agencies. This agency provides a central location where individuals in crisis can receive counsel, referral and direct assistance. Counseling is aimed at teaching budgeting skills, wise purchasing options, needs-based living and long range planning.

Provides a Senior Center, a food pantry and transportation services for seniors. The Senior Center offers different forms of recreation for seniors such as euchre, pool, artist instruction, quilting classes, computer classes and bingo. It also provides some health monitoring. The agency serves around 50 homebound meals to seniors and has approximately 30+ meals served in the dining room every day.

Assists illiterate or near illiterate adults to learn to read and/or improve their reading skills to enable them to find employment and reach new goals in life. The Coalition provides: one-on-one tutoring to individuals for reading skills; Assistance to inmates at the Clay County Jail and Correction Center to help them obtain their G.E.D.; and cross training with Title One adult based education. The Clay County Literacy Coalition is the only organization in Clay County to teach adult literacy.
