Agency Information
United Way of the Wabash Valley currently
comprises 34 member agencies providing 83 separate programs serving Clay,
Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo Counties in Indiana and Clark
County in Illinois. Services/programs range
from disability services to family development programs and basic
needs programs; from family stability programs to health programs;
from senior programs to youth recreational development and youth
social skill and character development programs; and highlighted
programs.
United Way of the
Wabash Valley continually strives to improve agency and service/program
accountability, both within the agencies and the United Way organization
itself. Outcome measurement is a major component of these
efforts. Results can show where services are being effective
for participants, as well as where outcomes can be improved.
Showing agency program outcomes demonstrates more readily to the
community how their donated dollars are benefiting the community
– if, and how, a program really makes a difference in the
lives of people.
