MISSION: To provide recreational and educational programs
that promote self-image, maintain skills, and support care givers
of disabled children/adults in safe and nurturing environments.
REQUEST FOR VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers to re-build trophies; Special
Olympics coaches for basketball, track, softball, swimming, volleyball
(all volunteers must attend certification course prior to hands-on
contact with athletes); lane assistants for bowling (2 eight-week
sessions, fall and spring); volunteers with experience/expertise
in various areas (crafts, health/dietary, animals, etc.) to make
presentations/programs to participants.
WISH LIST: “Adopt A Camper” sponsors; games/puzzles/craft
supplies; softball field development; shelter for playground; paint/painters
for interior of facility; small bus with wheelchair lift.
